The alternative 'ACEm' template can be installed in the same way as the other templates. It simply allows you to edit the 'Data offset (from start)' field as a decimal instead of a hexadecimal number. This is useful when you want to enter a negative value for this field.
Note that the template has deliberately been given the name 'aceM'. To open the 'ACEm' resource with the new template, select Open Using Template… from the Resource menu. Then choose 'aceM' from the template list.
ACE template icons
This resource contains a set of icons that, when installed into ResEdit, are displayed for ACE resources instead of the default 'unknown resource' icon.
To install these icons, you must first create a duplicate of the ResEdit application, and then open the original ResEdit application with the duplicate. Paste the icons into the resource fork of ResEdit (choose to assign the icon resources a unique id if there is a conflict), save and then quit. Delete the duplicate copy of ResEdit. When you open a module, the various ACE resources (and also the 'ldes' and 'tab#' resources) should now have color icons.
